Hello!
I’m Alicja, a full time professional photographer based in Auckland, New Zealand. Originally from Poland, raised in Sweden, spent 4 years living in England, before traveling throughout Asia and finally settling down and calling New Zealand my home.
What I’m most drawn to, is capturing raw, emotive photographs that reveal the essence of my subjects, creating authentic and honest imagery. Since having my own children, I've discovered a passion for photographing families and realised the importance of documenting these precious and incredibly fast fleeting years, which now make up part of my work. I can’t think of anything better than capturing pure joy, love and connection between people and feel so grateful for being able to create these special memories for other families.
My profession
Although I always loved looking at photographs, my own journey with photography didn’t start until I was 16 years old, doing a multi media course at school. I quickly realised the passion I had for creating images and dove deeper into it, following my dreams to study photography in the UK and then setting up my photography business in New Zealand. Through my photography career/journey, I have shot fashion, advertising, corporate, branding, worked on TV and Film shoots creating production and commercial stills…the list goes on!
When I’m not working
We make the most of living in New Zealand, we love to travel, the ocean and sunshine. When not working, you will find me at the beach or walking in the hills and New Zealand bush with my family.
