I often get asked about the best time of day for photography sessions. Technically, you can shoot any time, but golden hour — about an hour before sunset — is something truly special. The light is softer, warmer, and it adds this incredible glow that makes skin tones look beautiful and the whole scene feel almost cinematic. Of course, not every family can shoot at sunset — with little ones’ bedtimes or busy schedules, sometimes earlier in the day is more practical. I always do my best to accommodate this, and we can still create beautiful images. But if we can make sunset work, it’s always worth it.
